Army Chief Meets US National Defence University Delegation on Cooperation.

Amman: Chairperson of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti welcomed a delegation of the US National Defence University at the Jordan Armed Forces HQ to discuss cooperation. The meeting focused on enhancing military and defence ties between Jordan and the United States. According to Jordan News Agency, Huneiti and the delegates examined a range of topics of mutual interest. He emphasised the importance of leveraging the research, studies, and expertise produced by the National Defence University to strengthen the strategic partnership. The discussion included the ongoing modernisation and development efforts within the Jordanian military, particularly in addressing current and evolving security challenges in the region. Huneiti also stressed the need for continued international cooperation to ensure global security and peace. The US delegation expressed their appreciation for Jordan's critical role in promoting stability and security in the region. They highlighted the leadership of His Maj esty King Abdullah II in advancing peace and regional security initiatives, acknowledging Jordan's efforts in fostering a more secure environment.
