Amman: Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lieutenant General Yousef Huneiti opened the second scientific conference of the Royal Maintenance Corps, held under the theme "Technical Education in Jordan: Towards a National Strategic Educational Integration."

According to Jordan News Agency, the conference aims to enhance the readiness and professionalism of the Jordan Armed Forces by advancing technical education and vocational training in response to evolving regional and international challenges.

Speakers at the two-day event discussed the strategic importance of technical education in national development. Officials from leading Jordanian universities, including the University of Jordan, Al-Balqa Applied University, and Hussein Bin Talal University, urged collaboration between academia and the military to modernize curricula, improve graduate outcomes, and align education with labor market demands.

Huneiti toured the Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II Military Technical College, the host of the event, visiting laboratories and exhibitions to review projects and technologies developed to support military field operations.

The conference brought together senior military officers and university leaders, serving as a platform for knowledge exchange and the professional development of engineers and technicians in the Armed Forces.
