Army Chief Oversees Graduation of 66th Joint Command and Staff Course

Amman: On behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Major General Yousef Huneiti, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, presided over the graduation ceremony of the 66th Joint Command and Staff Course (30th cohort) at the Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College.

According to Jordan News Agency, the College Commandant, in his address delivered on Sunday, emphasized that the institution continues to align its academic and training programs with the demands of the modern operational environment, adhering to its institutional vision. He highlighted the College's focus on developing leadership competencies and integrating military thought with academic sciences, aiming to prepare highly qualified commanders and staff officers capable of operating within a multi-domain joint operations framework.

He further explained that the College is working to realize His Majesty's vision for modernizing the Jordan Armed Forces by updating its curricula to include joint operations planning and concepts, as well as the evolving dimensions of modern warfare, such as unmanned aerial systems, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and information operations. These efforts, he said, enhance the capabilities of staff officers and strengthen their proficiency in military decision-making processes.

During the ceremony, Huneiti distributed certificates and awards to graduates of the course, which confers a Bachelor of Science degree in Military Science. The graduating class included officers from various branches of the Jordan Armed Forces and security agencies, along with officers from countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, Yemen, Rwanda, Morocco, Tanzania, Turkey, and France.

Huneiti also signed the visitors' book, expressing pride in the College's role in preparing and qualifying military leaders, and wished the institution continued success and progress.
