Army Chief Urges Enhanced Combat Preparedness During Eastern Military Region Visit

Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Huneiti, on Monday visited the Command Headquarters of Eastern Military Region (EMR). Welcomed by the Region's commander and staff officers, Huneiti was briefed on the key duties, tasks, operational plans, level of combat preparedness, the progress in implementing duties, and measures taken to enhance protection of the Kingdom's border areas.

According to Jordan News Agency, in the presence of several senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army, Huneiti emphasized that protecting the nation's borders and preserving its security is a "firmly established national responsibility." He stressed the importance of maintaining the "highest levels of combat readiness" and continuing to develop operational capabilities to ensure efficient and professional execution of all duties and tasks. This development is to enhance the JAF's ability to deal with various challenges "effectively and professionally."

Huneiti also noted that the army, under His Majesty the JAF Supreme Commander's directives, will persist in developing their capabilities and raising their operational readiness. This would further strengthen their ability to protect the Kingdom's security, defend its resources, and maintain its stability.

Moreover, Huneiti commended the "distinguished" level of the Eastern Military Region, praising the personnel's efforts in executing their assigned duties and tasks. He acknowledged their "pivotal" role in bolstering border security and upholding the Kingdom's security and stability.
