Amman: The Jordanian Armed Forces’ Southern Military Region intercepted and downed a drone late Tuesday attempting to smuggle narcotics across the kingdom’s western border. The army said border guards detected the unmanned aerial vehicle and, in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, applied rules of engagement before shooting it down inside Jordanian territory.
According to Jordan News Agency, the seized contraband was handed over to the competent authorities.
