Army Downs Drone Smuggling Narcotics on Southern Border


Amman: The Southern Military Region Officers on Sunday foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics using a drone on its western front, within its area of responsibility. In coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, border guards applied the rules of engagement after detecting the drone and brought it down inside Jordanian territory. The seized contraband was handed over to the competent authorities.



According to Jordan News Agency, the operation highlights ongoing efforts to combat illegal smuggling activities across the nation’s borders.
