Amman: The Eastern Military Zone on Tuesday morning foiled an attempt to smuggle a quantity of narcotics using electronically guided balloons.
According to Jordan News Agency, Border Guard units detected the balloons in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department. The balloons were intercepted and brought down with their cargo inside Jordanian territory.
The seized narcotics were subsequently referred to the competent authorities for the necessary legal procedures.
