Amman: The Eastern Military Zone The Eastern Military Zone successfully thwarted a drug smuggling attempt at dawn on Thursday. The operation involved electronically guided balloons intended to transport narcotics into the Kingdom.
According to Jordan News Agency, Border Guard units detected and tracked the balloons' movement. This action was carried out in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department. The units managed to bring the balloons down within Jordanian territory.
The seized balloons and their cargo have been handed over to the competent authorities for further legal action. This incident highlights the ongoing efforts to secure the region's borders against illegal activities.
