Amman: The Eastern Military Zone successfully foiled a narcotics smuggling attempt early Wednesday involving balloons equipped with crude guidance devices within its area of responsibility. Border Guard forces, in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, detected, intercepted, and brought down the balloons and their cargo within Jordanian territory.
According to Jordan News Agency, the seized narcotics were handed over to the relevant authorities for further legal action.
