Amman: The Eastern Military Zone The Eastern Military Zone announced that it thwarted two attempts early Sunday to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics across the border using electronically guided balloons. Border Guard units detected the balloons and, in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, intercepted them and brought them down inside Jordanian territory.
According to Jordan News Agency, the seized items were handed over to the competent authorities for legal action.
