Army Foils Smuggling Attempt Using Drones on Western Front

Amman: The Southern Military Zone successfully thwarted a drug smuggling attempt involving three drones on its western front, underlining its commitment to national security.

According to Jordan News Agency, border guard units in the Southern Military Zone, in collaboration with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, intercepted and neutralized three drones attempting to smuggle narcotics across the border. The drones were detected and monitored, leading to the implementation of the rules of engagement.

The intercepted drones were brought down inside Jordanian territory, and the recovered materials were handed over to the relevant authorities. The operation highlights the Jordan Armed Forces' resolve to prevent illegal drugs from reaching civilians and compromising national security.
