Amman: Officers at the Northern Military Region on Sunday foiled an attempt to smuggle a quantity of narcotics using a drone along the Kingdom's northern border, within its area of responsibility. The army reported that border guard forces detected the drone and applied the rules of engagement, successfully intercepting it and seizing the drugs, which were referred to the competent authorities.
According to Jordan News Agency, the interception of the drone highlights the ongoing efforts of the Northern Military Region to combat illegal activities and maintain security along the northern border. The army's quick response and effective measures prevented the smuggling attempt, ensuring that the narcotics did not enter the Kingdom.
