Amman: The Southern Military Region: The Southern Military Region successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle narcotics using a drone along the Kingdom's western border, within its designated area of responsibility.
According to Jordan News Agency, the operation was conducted in collaboration with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND). After the drone was detected by border guards, the rules of engagement were employed, resulting in the drone being brought down inside Jordanian territory.
The narcotics seized from the drone have been handed over to the relevant authorities.
