Amman: The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army revealed a successful operation by its Northern Military Zone that disrupted a major drug smuggling attempt within their jurisdiction.
According to Jordan News Agency, a military source detailed that the operation involved Border Guard units working in coordination with the Military Security Directorate to intercept a group of smugglers trying to illegally transport a substantial amount of narcotics.
The military source indicated that surveillance efforts led to the detection of the suspects, which initiated a swift response by quick reaction patrols. The engagement protocols were followed, resulting in the apprehension of the smugglers and confiscation of the illegal drugs. The seized substances were subsequently handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.
