The detachments of the Baghdad Crime Control Directorate arrested an accused of running over an elderly woman and throwing her in a remote area until she died. The Directorate stated in a statement that it was able to uncover the death of an elderly woman after finding her body thrown under trees in the southern Rashid district, explaining that: "After referring the investigative papers of the case to the Mahmoudiyah Crime Control Office, the accused confessed after deep investigation with him to running over the victim with his car under the Al-Jadriya Bridge, where he rode her in his car under the pretext of transporting her to the hospital for treatment, then he threw her in a remote area and she remained thrown until she breathed her last."
