ASE Closes 0.7% Up

Amman: Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) turnover was at JD 7.6 million in Monday's trading, with 4 million shares changing hands through 3,456 transactions. The general index rose to 3,530 points, marking a 0.7 percent increase.

According to Jordan News Agency, the financial sector led the gains with a 0.94 percent increase, followed by the services sector, which rose by 0.46 percent. However, the industrial sector experienced a decline, falling by 0.14 percent.

Among the 111 companies traded on the exchange, 31 saw their share prices rise, while 34 experienced a drop in value.
