ASE Closes Lower as Financial and Services Sectors Decline

Amman: The Amman Stock Exchange: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) closed lower on Sunday, with its general share price index falling 0.15 percent to 3,957 points.

According to Jordan News Agency, total trading volume reached JD10 million, while 4.1 million shares changed hands through 4,213 transactions. Of the 94 listed companies traded, 27 recorded gains, while 32 posted losses compared with their previous closing prices.

Sector performance was mixed. The industrial sector index rose 1.63 percent, while the financial sector index declined 0.65 percent and the services sector index slipped 0.08 percent.
