ASE Closes Up 0.79% on Broad Sectoral Gains

Amman: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) closed higher Sunday, with the general price index gaining 0.79% to settle at 3,935 points.

According to Jordan News Agency, total turnover reached JD 15.9 million, with 6.7 million shares changing hands across 4,916 transactions. All three sectors posted gains, showing a positive market trend. Services led the day with a 1.83% rise, followed by the financial sector which recorded a 0.38% increase. The industry sector also reported an uptick of 0.19%.

Out of the 106 companies traded on the ASE, 45 companies saw their stock prices increase, while 36 experienced declines. This distribution indicates a favorable market sentiment during the trading session.
