Amman: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) general price index rose 0.59 percent to close at 3,881 points on Tuesday, as total trading volume reached JD11.1 million. The trading session saw four million shares changing hands across 3,830 transactions.
According to Jordan News Agency, the industrial sector index led the day's gains with a significant climb of 1.66 percent. This was followed by the services sector, which increased by 0.55 percent, and the financial sector, which saw an uptick of 0.24 percent.
Out of the 99 companies whose shares were traded during the session, 39 reported gains in their share prices compared to their previous closings, while 23 companies recorded declines.
