Amman: Turnover on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) reached JD19.6 million Tuesday, with 5.7 million shares changing hands through 4,958 transactions. The general price index closed at 3,912 points, up 0.16 percent.
According to Jordan News Agency, the industrial sector index experienced an increase of 1.40 percent, while the financial sector index saw a rise of 0.18 percent. Conversely, the services sector index declined by 0.80 percent.
Out of the 99 companies traded, 36 reported gains in their share prices, whereas 25 companies saw declines compared with their previous closings.
