ASE Rises 0.23% with JD8.8M Trading Volume

Amman: Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) recorded a total trading volume of JD 8.8 million on Wednesday, with 5.7 million shares traded through 3,731 transactions. The ASE general index closed at 2,898 points, marking an increase of 0.23 percent.

According to Jordan News Agency, out of 101 companies traded on the day, 44 saw an increase in their share prices, while 26 experienced a decline. This mixed performance highlights the varied investor sentiment across different sectors.

The financial sector led the day's gains with its index rising by 0.35 percent. Meanwhile, the services sector index saw a slight increase of 0.05 percent. In contrast, the industrial sector index experienced a minor decline of 0.01 percent, indicating a varied performance across the market's sectors.
