ASE Turnover at JD8.0M, Climbing 0.79%

Amman: Trading on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) totaled JD8.0 million on Wednesday, with 2.1 million shares changing hands through 2,163 transactions. The market's general share price index closed at 3,600 points, marking an increase of 0.79%.

According to Jordan News Agency, sector indices showed gains across all sectors. The financial sector led the way, posting an increase of 1.02%. This was followed by the services sector, which rose by 0.63%, while the industry sector saw a slight increase of 0.07%.

Out of the 83 companies that traded on the ASE, 34 companies recorded gains. In contrast, 25 companies experienced a decline in their share prices.
