ASE Turnover Hits JD9.6M, Up 0.16%

Amman: The total trading volume at the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) on Sunday reached JD9.6 million, with 4.6 million shares changing hands through 3,970 transactions. The ASE general index closed at 3,307 points, marking an increase of 0.16% compared to the previous session.

According to Jordan News Agency, out of the 107 companies whose shares were traded, 44 recorded gains, while 40 experienced declines in comparison to their previous closing prices. This reflects a mixed performance in the market despite the overall uptick in the index.

Sector-wise, the industrial index saw a decline of 0.51 percent, indicating some challenges in that area. In contrast, the financial index experienced a rise of 0.49 percent, suggesting a more positive outlook for financial stocks. Meanwhile, the services index dipped slightly by 0.04 percent, showing minimal change in that sector.
