ASE Turnover Totals JD14.5 Million on Tuesday

Amman: Turnover on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) totaled JD14.5 million Tuesday, with 6.7 million shares changing hands through 4,321 transactions. The general share price index fell to 3,987 points, marking a decline of 0.31 percent.

According to Jordan News Agency, the financial sector index experienced a drop of 0.50 percent, while the industrial sector index decreased by 0.25 percent. In contrast, the services sector index saw a rise of 0.35 percent, offering a glimmer of hope amidst the day's trading.

Out of the 107 companies that were traded on Tuesday, 41 recorded gains in their share prices compared to previous closing values. However, 39 companies experienced declines, reflecting a mixed performance across the market.
