Amman: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) called on listed companies to submit their auditor-reviewed financial statements for the second quarter of 2026, covering the period ending June 30, through the electronic disclosure system by the end of July.
According to Jordan News Agency, ASE Executive Director Mazen Wathaifi stated that trading in shares of companies that do not submit their reviewed interim financial statements would be suspended for three working days, beginning on the first working day after the deadline. Trading is set to resume on the same market where the shares are listed, subject to restrictions issued by the ASE Board of Directors. This resumption will occur from the morning following the suspension period until the companies submit the required statements, in accordance with Article 15 of the 2018 Securities Listing Instructions.
Wathaifi emphasized that the measure aims to strengthen the protection of securities market participants and investors by ensuring they receive the necessary information to make investment decisions promptly. He further mentioned that the ASE would announce the names of companies that fail to comply with the submission deadline through the media.
The ASE's Securities Listing Instructions mandate listed companies to prepare auditor-reviewed interim financial statements to reinforce disclosure and transparency. This is intended to enable investors and shareholders to obtain timely and continuous information on companies' financial performance. The ASE facilitates public access by publishing these statements on its website (www.exchange.jo) under the circulars and disclosures section for semiannual financial statements.
