Ankara:Turkish defense company ASELSAN has introduced the GOKALP Counter-UAV System, designed to detect and neutralize threats from hostile drones using radar and electro-optical systems alongside interceptor drones.
According to Anadolu Agency, ASELSAN announced on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal that GOKALP offers a fully mobile and cost-effective counter-UAV solution with its vehicle-integrated design.
A demonstration of this system was held at ASELSAN's Ogulbey Technology Base. During the event, the AURA radar detected a target drone, and real-time data was relayed to the GOKALP E1 interceptor drone via the DRONEDEF system's command-and-control software.
The GOKALP E1 successfully destroyed the target drone midair using a hit-to-kill method, demonstrating the system's integrated operational capabilities and interception effectiveness in field conditions.
