The anti-vagrancy teams affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development arrested a non-Jordanian beggar in Zarqa governorate, with JD6,493 in his possession, in addition to two modern mobile devices. The beggar was transferred to the Kingdom's relevant authorities, in accordance with the legal requirements. In a statement Tuesday, the ministry stressed the importance of citizens' awareness on the efforts to combat this phenomenon, carried out in cooperation with the relevant official authorities.
