Authorities Test National Mobile Emergency Alert System Across Most Governorates

Amman: The National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM) has begun a series of operational trials of Jordan's national mobile warning messaging system across most governorates from July 27 through August 2 to assess its readiness for use during crises, disasters, and emergencies.

According to Jordan News Agency, the trials are being conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission, and licensed telecommunications operators. The center aims to evaluate the system's performance, focusing on the speed of alert delivery, the effectiveness of warning messages, and the overall efficiency of the national early warning system.

Authorities have urged the public not to be alarmed upon receiving the test messages. These messages will be sent in both Arabic and English and will be accompanied by an audible alert to ensure they are immediately noticed.
