Amman: The Cybercrime Unit at the Public Security Directorate (PSD) issued a warning against the misuse of artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
According to Jordan News Agency, the unit highlighted that some individuals are altering or combining images, audio, and video clips to manipulate content. Such actions can confuse viewers and sometimes lead to harm or abuse of individuals on social media.
The unit explained that these falsified and combined images are often shared online or via applications for social, psychological, or fraudulent purposes.
The Cybercrime Unit urges Jordanians to refrain from using AI tools to create, modify, or edit images and videos in ways that violate privacy or spread false information, emphasizing that such actions may result in legal consequences.
The Cybercrime Unit stated: Do not contribute to the spread of false and misleading images, videos, or information. Use technology responsibly.
