Awqaf Ministry Urges Umrah Pilgrims to Verify Licensed Operators

Amman: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has called on citizens planning to undertake Umrah, whether by land or air, to confirm the accreditation of Hajj and Umrah companies and offices through the ministry's official website and the Hajj and Umrah Department.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ministry emphasized the necessity of clearly understanding the contract terms before signing, including the costs of the trip and the services provided, especially those related to accommodation and transportation. The ministry reiterated its commitment, through the Hajj and Umrah Directorate, to ensure the safety of Umrah performers, facilitating a secure environment for the rituals, and ensuring interactions only with ministry-accredited Hajj and Umrah companies and offices.

Additionally, the ministry advised Umrah performers to follow health guidelines issued by the official authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This includes the use of face masks in crowded areas during the Umrah rituals to maintain public health and safety. It highlighted that adhering to these guidelines and procedures is crucial for a smooth and peaceful performance of the Umrah rituals, enhancing the safety of everyone involved in the spiritual journey.
