Amman:The Azerbaijan Tourism Board organized a business-to-business (B2B) networking event called Experience Azerbaijan on Monday evening in Amman. The event aimed to promote Azerbaijani tourism, exhibit product offerings, and strengthen ties within the travel sector.
According to Jordan News Agency, the event attracted 66 travel professionals from 48 Jordanian tourism companies. Key figures in attendance included Azerbaijan Tourism Board CEO Florian Sengstschmid and Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan Shahin Abdullayev.
The event featured presentations on Azerbaijan's diverse year-round attractions in destinations such as Baku, Qabala, Shahdagh, Quba, Qusar, and Shaki. The focus was on family travel, luxury resorts, winter sports, eco-adventure, wellness retreats, and Muslim-friendly hospitality.
Three major Azerbaijani companies, including the national airline Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), engaged in meetings with Jordanian travel agencies and tour operators to explore commercial partnerships. Current travel between the two nations is facilitated by weekly charter flights operated jointly by AZAL and Fly Jordan.
During the visit, CEO Sengstschmid also met with Jordan Tourism Board Director General Ramzi Maaytah to discuss increasing direct flight frequencies and simplifying visa procedures to encourage reciprocal tourism between the two countries.
