Azerbaijan-Turkiye Solidarity Strengthens Turkic World: President Aliyev

Istanbul: The strong solidarity between Azerbaijan and Turkiye has significant benefits for the Turkic world, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated at the 28th Eurasian Economic Summit in Istanbul. "The unity, brotherhood, and solidarity between Azerbaijan and Turkiye, rooted in our common history and rich national-spiritual values, not only contribute to regional prosperity, peace, and security, but also serve as an important factor for the entire Eurasian region," Aliyev conveyed in a message read at the summit by Azerbaijan's Ambassador in Ankara Rashad Mammadov.

According to Anadolu Agency, Aliyev emphasized that for centuries, people of various ethnicities and religions have coexisted in friendship and mutual respect in Azerbaijan, a nation situated at the crossroads of East and West, North and South. He highlighted that preserving multiculturalism, interfaith dialogue, and tolerance is a way of life in Azerbaijan and a priority of its state policy.

Aliyev also expressed Azerbaijan's support for peaceful cultural relations on a global scale and its active promotion of intercultural dialogue to enhance mutual understanding. The president reaffirmed Azerbaijan's dedication to establishing long-term peace and ensuring socioeconomic welfare in the South Caucasus.

The 28th Eurasian Economic Summit commenced on Wednesday in Istanbul, concentrating on dialogue to tackle global issues such as conflict, climate change, economic inequality, and migration.
