Babylon Police Command carried out extensive security operations today, Friday, that included all areas of responsibility. These operations resulted in the arrest of 20 wanted persons in various cases, most notably two premeditated murders and drug trafficking. Babylon Police Media Director Brigadier Adel Al-Hussaini said, "Today, Friday, Babylon Police Command carried out a large-scale security campaign that included all areas of responsibility of police departments, which resulted in the arrest of 12 wanted persons according to various legal articles, the seizure of 117 traffic violations, and the arrest of 8 persons violating the law. He added that the detachments of the Checkpoints Affairs Department were able, during their operations at the main checkpoints, to arrest 8 persons wanted by justice in various cases, one of them on charges of premeditated murder, and another on charges of drug trafficking, in addition to the arrest of 6 foreigners violating residency conditions, noting that the police tra nsferred the accused to the competent authorities to investigate them." Building Licenses Rise 3.2% in First Half of 2026
