Amman: Minister of Social Development and Chair of the Inter-Ministerial Committee for Women's Empowerment, Wafa Bani Mustafa, met with Tunisian Ambassador to Jordan, Mufida Zribi, to explore prospects for continued collaboration in social services. Bani Mustafa outlined key social programs and services targeting specific groups in Jordan, emphasizing the development of the ministry's work in both developmental and welfare domains.

According to Jordan News Agency, the minister highlighted significant milestones in legislation and social protection policies aimed at aligning with Jordan's vision for economic, political, and administrative modernization. She also discussed the ministry's initiatives in alternative shelters and inclusive social care, which focus on reintegrating persons with disabilities into their natural environments.

This step supports social protection policies and poverty eradication efforts while providing an Arab database to enhance regional indicators in international reports.

Further cooperation was discussed within the framework of joint social programs under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with the Tunisian Ministry of Social Affairs. The ongoing work on a joint executive program aims to advance women, families, children, and the elderly, alongside exchanging best practices in social work areas.

Tunisian Ambassador Mufida Zribi commended Jordan's social services and the efforts to support target groups, expressing a desire to deepen cooperation and coordination in these areas.
