Basra crude prices rise despite global oil price decline

Basra heavy and medium crude prices rose on Wednesday, despite the decline in oil prices in global markets. Basra heavy crude prices rose 89 cents to $72.39, and Basra medium crude prices rose 89 cents to $75.39. Oil prices fell, amid expectations that the political conflict that halted exports from major Libyan ports may be resolved and concerns about slowing global demand growth.
