Brussels: Belgian King Philippe called the current situation in the Gaza Strip a "disgrace to humanity", and urged an immediate end to the crisis. In a speech on the eve of Belgium's National Day, King Philippe highlighted the dire circumstances faced by civilians in Gaza, who are suffering from starvation and bombing, and emphasized that the situation has persisted for too long.
According to Jordan News Agency, King Philippe expressed Belgium's support for U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres' call for an immediate resolution to the crisis. He also urged Europe to exhibit "stronger leadership" in addressing the situation in Gaza.
