Moscow, Abdullah Khalil Buhejji, Director General of Bahrain News Agency (BNA), participated in the 53rd meeting of the Executive Board of the Organization of Asia Pacific News Agencies (OANA). The meeting was organised by the Russian News Agency (TASS) and attended by members of the Executive Board and the Technical Committee. The meeting discussed key topics such as ethical standards in editorial practices and ethical considerations of artificial intelligence in media. During the meeting, it was agreed to hold the 19th General Assembly of OANA in Moscow next year and the next Executive Board meeting in Malaysia in February 2025. The committee also approved the minutes of the 52nd meeting held in Tokyo in March and reviewed a report on decisions from the previous session, which included two competitions for photography and best article. Buhejji also participated in the BRICS Media Summit, held on September 13-17 in Moscow, attended by representatives of over 60 media outlets from 45 countries.
