Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, opened the last transaction day of 2025 at 11,249.6 points on Wednesday, marking an increase of 0.26% or 29.50 points. This opening follows a positive performance on Tuesday, when the index rose by 0.62% to close at 11,220.17 points, with a daily transaction volume of 115 billion liras, equivalent to $2.67 billion.
According to Anadolu Agency, as of 10.40 am local time (0740GMT), the exchange rates were recorded at 42.9520 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 50.5290 to the euro, and 57.9300 to the British pound. In the commodities market, the price of an ounce of gold was reported at $4,333.22, while Brent crude oil was trading at $61.20 per barrel.
