Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, stressed in an exclusive interview with "The "Monitor" website during his visit to Washington, 'the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region in light of the escalating tension in southern Lebanon and the Middle East.' He added, "The Israeli invasion of Lebanon, if it occurs, may cause a regional war involving external parties." Therefore, he stressed "the need for all parties to prioritize dial ogue and peaceful solutions." In this connection, Bou Habib pointed to 'ongoing international diplomatic efforts, including those led by international partners, which aim to reduce tensions and enhance stability along the southern Lebanese border.' He underlined "Lebanon's commitment to initiatives that enhance regional peace and security."
