Amman: The national boxing team player, Ziad Ashish, defeated Kazakhstan's Aslanbek Shymbergenov, on Sunday, in the round of 32 of the under-71 kg competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Ashish secured a well-deserved victory over the reigning World Champion to book his place in the round of 16. The second-time Olympian was able to bounce back from two previous losses to the Kazakhstani to win by a score of 2-3. Ashish will meet Japan's Okazawa in the next round on Wednesday.
