Doha: Chairman of Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), Captain Haitham Misto, took part in the 2025 ICAO Facilitation Conference (FALC 2025), which kicked off in Doha with the participation of 190 countries.

According to Jordan News Agency, the conference, held under the theme: "Facilitating the Future of Air Transport," discussed the latest developments in air transport facilitation in response to the latest tech advancements and growing security challenges in this sector.

The event also tackled ways to enhance cooperation and efficiency in global air travel and the latest technologies and innovations in the field of travel document verification and border security.

A CARC statement on Tuesday noted that the discussions will focus on means to combat human trafficking and illegal immigration by developing "clear" protocols to report suspected cases and enhance cooperation with security agencies.

Concluding its activities, the conference is scheduled to issue: "Doha Declaration on International Air Transport Facilitation," which aims to guide public policies and strengthen global commitment to develop air facilitation-based system on a common "strategic" basis.
