CBJ Cybersecurity Platform Gains Global Acclaim

Amman: The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) achieved a major global cybersecurity milestone after its innovative regional cyber-threat intelligence sharing platform was named among the top five projects worldwide at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2026. The platform, developed by the CBJ's Cyber Incident Response Unit for the Financial and Banking Sector, was recognized in the international and regional cooperation category. It enables Arab central banks and monetary authorities to exchange and analyze cyber-threat data in real time, shifting regional cyber defense from isolated reactive measures to a collective, proactive deterrent system to safeguard financial stability.

According to Jordan News Agency, the CBJ stated on Monday that the international honor reflects the maturity of its regulatory and technical framework and its ability to scale local security solutions into cross-border digital governance models. The UN-backed recognition reflects the effectiveness of the CBJ's strategy for data governance, cyber risk management, and digital resilience, as well as its continued investment in national talent and advanced technology.

It added that the achievement reinforces international confidence in the resilience and reliability of Jordan's financial system. Looking ahead, the bank described the accolade as a stepping stone to further drive digital innovation, expand strategic partnerships, and solidify the Kingdom's position as a regional hub for sustainable financial cybersecurity.
