Karak:Chief Justice Abdul Hafez Nahar Al-Rabta expressed deep sorrow over the terrorist attack in Karak on Friday, which resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries. He highlighted that the sanctity of human life and the protection of life are fundamental principles upheld by Islamic Sharia.
According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Rabta stated that the tragedy impacting the people of Karak affects all Jordanians. In his statement issued on Friday, he emphasized that preserving human life is one of the highest objectives of Islamic Sharia, which strictly prohibits any assault on human life and dignity.
He further stressed that protecting lives and safeguarding rights are both religious and moral responsibilities. Justice and the rule of law are essential to the security and stability of society. Al-Rabta highlighted the importance of national unity and solidarity, along with the values of brotherhood and mutual support that unite Jordanians, as crucial elements in overcoming adversity.
In addition, Al-Rabta underscored the necessity of raising awareness about the sanctity of human life and promoting compassion, moderation, and respect for others. He also commended the efforts of state institutions and relevant agencies in protecting citizens' security and safety, emphasizing the importance of upholding the law and safeguarding rights.
Al-Rabta extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Karak, offering prayers for Allah's mercy upon the victims, patience and solace for their families, and a speedy recovery for the injured.
