Civil Defense teams extinguished a fire that broke out inside a furniture showroom, a café, and several other shops, in Al-Furat neighborhood in central Najaf Governorate, without human casualties. The Civil Defense Directorate said that its teams used specialized fire engines and other support vehicles to fight the fires, and also used the ladder wheel designated for high-rise buildings, from top to bottom, with the support of Al-Alawiya shrine tankers and the municipality of Najaf. It explained: 'The damaged buildings were built with highly flammable sandwich panels and in violation of safety instructions,' indicating that it requested to open an investigation and summon a forensic expert to determine the causes of the outbreak of the fire, and to hold those responsible accountable for violations related to occupational safety procedures.
