Cold Weather Predicted for Saturday With Rain Expected Over the Next Two Days

Amman: The weather on Saturday is set to be cold across most regions, with fair conditions anticipated in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. According to Jordan News Agency, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) has issued a warning regarding the risk of poor horizontal visibility during the morning hours, which could be caused by fog over mountainous areas. In addition to this, frost formation is expected over the high-tops, as well as in parts of the desert and plains. On Sunday, a shallow low-pressure system accompanied by a cold air mass is predicted to affect the Kingdom, leading to a slight drop in temperatures. Intermittent rain is forecasted to begin in the north of the Kingdom, gradually extending to the central and eastern regions. The JMD has also indicated the potential for heavy downpours, especially in the north, which could be accompanied by thunder and hail. Light showers are anticipated in parts of the Kingdom's southwest. Moving into Monday, there remains a slight chance of light rain in the western areas of the Kingdom during the morning hours. Temperature forecasts for Wednesday show Amman experiencing maximums of 13 degrees Celsius and minimums of 4 degrees, while the Gulf of Aqaba is expected to have fair weather with a high of 21 degrees Celsius, dropping to 10 degrees at night.
