Amman:A relatively cool, humid air mass from the eastern Mediterranean is anticipated to bring showers and possible thunderstorms to parts of Jordan on Friday, following several days of mild autumn weather, the Jordan Meteorological Department announced.
According to Jordan News Agency, temperatures are expected to dip slightly on Tuesday, with pleasant conditions persisting across most of the Kingdom. Moderate weather will continue in areas such as the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Additionally, medium- and high-level clouds are predicted to appear, accompanied by moderate westerly winds that may occasionally increase in strength.
The department has issued a warning concerning reduced visibility late Tuesday night, as fog is expected to develop over high mountain areas and parts of the plains. Daytime highs are forecasted to reach 26 degrees Celsius in East Amman, the plains, and the Badia, with 24 C in West Amman, 22 C in the northern highlands, and 23 C in the Sharah highlands. In contrast, temperatures will rise to 30 C in the northern Jordan Valley, 32 C in the southern Jordan Valley and Aqaba, and 31 C at the Dead Sea.
Mild conditions are expected to persist on Wednesday and Thursday, featuring some high-level clouds and moderate northwesterly winds, which may occasionally become more active. A significant weather change is anticipated on Friday as the cooler air mass will lead to a further slight decline in temperatures and increased cloud cover.
Showers are forecasted across northern Jordan and limited parts of the central regions, with a possibility of occasional thunderstorms. Light showers may also occur in the eastern and southeastern areas during the evening, although the chances are slight and thunder is possible. Southwesterly to westerly winds are expected to strengthen intermittently, potentially raising dust across the desert areas.
