Tokyo: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II held a meeting with the chairman and members of the Jordanian-Japanese Parliamentary Friendship Committee in Tokyo on Thursday. The committee, which includes the Japanese ministers of environment and justice, plays a pivotal role in fostering diplomatic relations between the two nations.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Crown Prince emphasized the long-standing ties between Jordan and Japan, which have thrived on mutual respect and shared values for over 70 years. He highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation and expanding relations between the two countries and their citizens, acknowledging the committee's significant contribution to this aim.
The Crown Prince praised Japan's support for achieving peace and stability in the region, particularly through the two-state solution, and its assistance with humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza. The Jordanian-Japanese Parliamentary Friendship Committee, established in 1999 and consisting of 18 members of the National Diet of Japan, is dedicated to strengthening diplomatic and parliamentary relations between Jordan and Japan.
