London: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II engaged in discussions with leaders of British technology companies in London. The meetings took place on the sidelines of the Jordan-UK Tech Connect Forum, focusing on exploring cooperation opportunities in technological fields.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Crown Prince met with Ian Hogarth, a partner at investment platform Plural, to discuss governance and regulation opportunities concerning artificial intelligence standards in the public sector. These discussions aimed at enhancing collaboration in AI governance.
In another meeting, His Royal Highness spoke with Chester King, president of British Esports, about enhancing cooperation between Jordanian and British esports federations. The focus was on exchanging experiences in education, and vocational and technical training related to electronic game design and production.
The Crown Prince also met with David Rickard, a partner at Everest Group, to discuss potential collaborations with the Jordan Source programme. The objective was to enhance Jordan's performance in the international technology sector and strengthen its position as a regional hub for business and IT outsourcing services.
The meetings were attended by Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat, Jordan's Ambassador to the UK Manar Dabbas, and Director of the Office of the Crown Prince Zaid Baqain.
