Defense Minister honors retired commanders of Armed Forces

Minister of Defense and Military Production Abdel Meguid Saqr on Saturday 7/9/2024 attended a ceremony to honor military commanders whose tenure ended as of July 2024. The ceremony was attended by Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Ahmed Khalifa alongside other military top brass and their families. The defense minister bestowed on the commanders the Order of the Republic, second class, for their devotion in serving their homeland and successfully carrying out their national duties throughout their tenure. While delivering a speech on the occasion, the defense minister conveyed greetings of president Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the supreme commander of the Armed Forces, for the retired commanders.
