Amman: Deputy Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives, Mohammad Maraiah, emphasized the crucial role of Jordan's youth and women in the Kingdom's political process, describing their empowerment as a national priority with Royal backing. His remarks were made during a meeting with youth participants in the "Youth Skills Development Project," organized by the International Youth Work Platform (RYS) on Tuesday.
According to Jordan News Agency, Maraiah highlighted that empowering youth and fostering their active participation aligns with the Royal vision of building an informed generation that contributes significantly to the country's future and sustainable development. He stressed that political modernization in Jordan necessitates cultural changes that encourage youth involvement in both community and political activities.
Maraiah further elaborated that youth engagement should extend beyond politics, encompassing efforts to enhance community participation and leadership skills. This approach, he noted, is vital for building the future of young people and ensuring their effective contribution to the Kingdom's aspirations. The Deputy Speaker also praised the "vital" role of Jordanian youth and reiterated the House's commitment to supporting projects and initiatives that empower young individuals, in alignment with Royal directives.
RYS Director, Amr Abu Anqour, added that the Youth Skills Development Project is designed to provide a platform for young people to express their opinions and share ideas. This initiative aims to enhance their ability to play an "active" role in achieving the Royal vision of youth empowerment.
